In mint condition, ARMY INDIVIDUAL READINESS BADGE (AIRN) GOLD CLASS PROTOTYPE. AIRN requires members who satisfy all AIRN requirements to wear a badge as visual recognition of their achievement. A silver badge is to be worn by members who are deemed ready by their unit commander but have not yet achieved five years of continuous readiness.
Initially, a gold badge was to be worn by members who were assessed by their unit commander as having achieved five years of continuous readiness. The Gold AIRN Badge was never adopted and now remains a scarce prototype badge.
